Saskatoon Seed Library
The Saskatoon Seed Library works much like a regular library, but instead of books, gardeners borrow heirloom tomato, beans, cilantro and lettuce seeds that are adapted to our prairie environment. Members of our library grow food, eat delicious veggies AND save their seeds to share with others to grow next year!
We’ll teach you how to save your seeds at our fun, free seed saving workshops at the Saskatoon Food Bank’s lush Garden Patch on 3rd Avenue.
You’ve heard of food insecurity, but did you know that we’re seed insecure in Canada? 9/10 bites of food start with seeds. We need to save the ones that do well here!
